Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.
Sing to him; yes, sing his praises. Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. (Psalm 105:1-2 NLT)
Let me say this loudly: GOD IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my goodness, I am so very excited that I am about ready to jump out of my skin! I guess you are wondering about why I am so excited. Well, let me share this testimony with you.
About two months ago, my daughter, Jailee, started complaining about pains in her chest. First of all, she never ever complains. She handles pain pretty well, so I knew this pain was unbearable for her. So, we took her to the doctor. The doctor said, “it sounds like she pulled a muscle so I will give her some pain medication to help ease the pain”. Well, the pain meds did not help so I took her back. This time the doctor scheduled
some x-rays to see if she could pinpoint the problem.
The x-rays were taken and we were told that it would take about 24 hrs for the results to come back. Well, the doctor called us at 4:30 that evening stating she wanted to see us in her office the next morning. I was thinking, “ok she just wants to discuss the results with us in person”. So, off we go to the doctor’s office once again, (Jailee is complaining about missing school as she hates missing school). We get to her office and she says she wants to run more test. So, once again we are off to get more x-rays. I get the same yada yada and off we go.
Well, the doctor calls again that very afternoon and says, “Jailee has Scoliosis! I was saying, “What? How can this be? She just had a physical less than 2 months ago and that is one of the things you check for! You’re telling me in two months she developed this”? She just kept on going and saying she needed to be fitted for a brace and she needed to see an orthopediactric doctor. She said she would make the referral and contact me later with the details. I am still in shock and all I could say was, “ok”.
My mind is swimming! Lord, how do I tell Jailee about this? When she got home, we sat her down and told her what the doctor had said. She got so very sad and said, “I need to go to my room”. I knew she was going to cry and did not stop her. About an hour later, she came down the steps smiling. I asked her, “are you all right? Do you want to talk about it”? She said, “nope I am fine”. Once again I gave her the, “momma knows when you are not telling me the truth” kind of look but she insisted that she was “fine”. I said “ok” and just let her deal with it in her way until she was ready to talk.
Well, the doctor made arrangements for us to go to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital to see the specialist there. She said “he is one of the top ortho specialists in the country”. Ok, that really makes me feel better (I thought to myself). Our appointment was for 11 AM on March 26.
The family gathered that night and we all decided we would pray for complete healing over Jailee everyday until the appointment. We prayed for the Blood of Jesus to heal Jailee from head to toe and to completely make her whole. We prayed for complete peace to come over Jailee. We prayed for the doctor. We simply asked Jesus to take control over the whole situation. We placed it all into the hands of Jesus. This is all we could do.
Well, Friday came and we went to the appointment. Jailee was still smiling and laughing which was good for me. I was a nervous wreck! They called us in and the doctor began checking Jailee. He did not say anything while he was examining her. I looked at his facial expressions, but he is the type of doctor you can not read them. When he was finished, he smiled. I was like, “ok this is really weird”. Then he said, “YOUR DAUGHTER DOES NOT HAVE SCOLIOSIS”! I looked at my husband, he looked at me and we both looked at the doctor. He said, “she has a small curve in her spine which will more than likely straighten out the more she grows. But as for as needing a back brace, she does not need one. I do not know what her doctor saw, but she does not need one. She is fine”. I said, “thank you Jesus! Praise the Lord”! I was so happy!
I am here to tell you that God DOES answer prayers! God hears your prayers and will answer them. He is FAITHFUL! I love you Lord and I praise your Holy and precious name!!! Never doubt God my friends. He will always come through for you!
